Bryan Godwin is the owner and Visual Effects Director of Shade. Bryan's diverse, award winning career, brings a wealth of VFX experience to the table. Over the last decade, Bryan has built studios and companies, all sharing a similar vision: bringing the absolute best visuals to life efficiently and effortlessly. Whether it was supervising teams on feature films such as "Speed Racer" or "Mummy 3" or as VP and Director of CG at Charlex in NYC, Bryan's dedication to quality, client service and artistic excellence is unmatched.


David Van Dyke David Van Dyke
Executive Producer

David Van Dyke is an award winning VFX Producer with over ten years experience in the VFX industry. He began his career in the San Francisco Bay Area where he worked at Tippett Studio. While at Tippett Studio, he gained valuable VFX film making experience on such features as Ivan Reitman's Evolution and Guillermo del Toro's Blade 2. Based on his performance at Tippett Studio, he was invited to work for Revolution Studios VFX team on Hellboy. Later he joined CafeFX and began VFX Producing on multiple features such as Evan Almighty and Speed Racer. His work at CafeFX culminated in winning an Emmy for Outstanding VFX for A Miniseries, Movie or A Special on the HBO miniseries: John Adams. In early 2008 he joined CIS Hollywood where he was the VFX Producer on many feature films such as Watchmen, Fast and Furious 4 and The Men Who Stare at Goats.

Sheri Patterson Sheri Patterson
Producer

Sheri's career began at Pixar, where she worked alongside animation dignitaries such as Brad Bird and John Lasseter. While coordinating on films such as "The Incredibles" and "Finding Nemo", Sheri found her calling; producing and managing visual effects and animation. She continued on to Blue Sky Studios, through which she met Bryan Godwin. From there, Sheri and Bryan went on to produce "One Rat Short", where their teamwork really began to shine. Since then, she has continued to collaborate with Bryan, most recently as Production Manager of Motion Theory.

John Riddle John Riddle
Technical Director

John graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design, with a BFA in Visual Effects. While at SCAD, John discovered a love for the technical side of 3D and developed his skills as an elite programmer and technical director. Before moving on to Shade, John wrote scripts and tools for cutting edge spots such as "Verizon Dominoes" at Motion Theory. While at Motion Theory, John and Bryan collaborated closely to develop custom asset management and production workflow tools to streamline artists time and efforts. John heads up Shade's Technical team, and is developing new and better custom tools to put Shade ahead of the competition.
